Zeng Liu received his B.S. degree from Hunan University, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) in 2006, 2009 and 2013 respectively, all in electrical engineering. He then joined XJTU as a faculty member of Electrical Engineering, where he is currently an associate professor. From 2015 to 2017, he was with the Center for Power Electronics Systems at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, USA, as a visiting scholar hosted by Dr. Dushan Boroyevich.
Dr. Liu has published over 100 technical papers in IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and IEEE conference proceedings, holds over 10 Chinese invention patents. He received the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics 2016 Prize Paper Award, and the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics 2021 Prize Paper Award. He is currently an Associate Editor for the IEEE Open Journal of Power Electronics, and served as Secretary-General for 2019 IEEE 10th International Symposium on Power Electronics for Distributed Generation Systems and 2020 The 4th International Conference on HVDC.
