Personal Profile

 

Laili Wang received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in School of Electrical Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University, China in 2004, 2007, and 2011, respectively. Since 2011, he has been a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Queen’s University, Kingston, ON, Canada. From 2014 to 2017, he was an Electrical Engineer with Sumida, Kingston, ON, Canada. In 2017, he became a Full Professor of Xi’an Jiaotong University.

Dr.Wang has received 2020 Natural Science Award of Shaanxi Province, 2020 Science and Technology Award of Shaanxi University and 2019 IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics Prize Paper Award and so on. He is also the recipient of Outstanding Youth Award from China Power Supply Society (CPSS), China Electric Power Excellent Young Technological Talent Award from Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering (CSEE), Gold Medal Award of Geneva Inventions. He is currently an Associate Editor for IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON POWER ELECTRONICS and IEEE JOURNAL OF EMERGING AND SELECTED TOPICS IN POWER ELECTRONICS. He is the Co-Chair of System Integration and Application in International Technology Roadmap for Wide Band-Gap Power Semiconductor (ITRW), and the Chair of CPSS and IEEE PELS Joint Chapter in Xi’an, China.

His research interests include Wide Bandgap Power Devices, Package and Integration, High Density Power Convertion, Wireless Power Transfer, and Energy Harvesting. He has published more than 170 papers in IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, and IEEE Conferences.
